OVERVIEW:
This request for Written Quote is to solicit cost from well drilling firms qualified and experienced in artesian well abandonment procedures, compliant with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) requirements. The City of Naples has determined (with the help of SFWMD) that the existing artesian well located on the island in Lantern Lake is temporarily abandoned (by definition) and is required by law to be permanently abandoned by the City. Therefore, the City is seeking quotes from qualified firms to provide well abandonment services.
