GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFICATIONS
The City of Naples, Florida invites financial advisory firms to submit proposals to serve as financial advisor on future bond issues. Advisor will provide services in the areas of facilitating sale of tax-exempt municipal bonds to finance new projects, coordinating bank loans and reviewing outstanding debt for potential savings on refundings. The contract period will be for three years, with two (2) one-year renewal options if mutually agreed upon by the City and awarded Firm.
The City has been under contract since 2007 with RBC Capital Markets for these services. This contract expired in February 2012 and was extended for one refinancing in February 2013.
The City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for fiscal year ended September 30, 2012, which includes an unqualified opinion, is available on the City’s website www.naplesgov.com.
The City does not have intentions to issue additional debt for capital based on the current Capital Improvement Program but desires the flexibility to do so as needed, and there is current discussion about issuing debt for a water/sewer line special assessment.
