14-050 Construct, Place, and Plant a Floating Vegetated Mat in a Marine Environment - RWQ

OVERVIEW: This quote is to seek a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to construct, place, and plant a single floating vegetated mat in a marine environment. If the contractor's work becomes unsatisfactory, the contractor shall be notified, requiring corrective action.
The City has utilized floating vegetated mats successfully in several of its lakes (stormwater retention ponds) to reduce nutrient levels, lower turbidity, and decrease the migration of heavy metals found in stormwater runoff. The City is now looking at using these mats to carry out these same functions in estuarine and lagoonal systems.
