Frequently Asked Questions About Beach Parking and Citations
Beach Parking:
- The City does not refund payments made at beach parking pay stations.
- City of Naples Residents and City Property Owners – Permits are FREE at City Hall.
- Collier County (Outside City Limits) Resident and County Property Owners – Permits are Free at various locations around the County click here
- Non-residents or guests will pay for beach parking using the pay stations.
- Handicapped - Can park in any parking spot with a handicap placard hanging from the rearview mirror.
- Hourly – Parking meters in Naples are $5.00 an hour. Use meters or pay stations. Beach parking is not free.
Did you receive a parking citation?
- If you were cited for “no permit” or “expired permit” you may obtain a new, valid permit with proof of residency to Finance in Naples City Hall with your citation to be voided.
Please call Finance at 1-239-213-1800 if you:
- You believe you paid for parking and received a citation in error.
- You believe you paid for the wrong space number.
- You believe you received a citation while waiting in line to pay.
Appealing a Ticket?
Please complete the back of the ticket and mail the ticket to 735 8th Street S. Once appealed the ticket can not be paid to the City any longer. A court hearing will be set. Please note, if you do not prevail in the court hearing, you may be assessed the full fine and court costs (currently $152 total).
The following are common explanations which must be addressed in court:
- Parked against the flow of traffic.
- Parked in a resident-only space.
- Parked at a yellow curb.
- Parked in the landscaped right-of-way.
- Not parked in a marked parking space.
- There was no sign.
- Pay station was not working.
- Only parked for a few minutes.
- Only dropping someone off.
