PROJECT SUMMARY

The City of Naples recently installed a central sanitary sewer collection system in the Gulf Acres and Rosemary Heights neighborhoods that are currently on septic tank systems.  Reference the attached Project Location Map.  These properties are located in unincorporated Collier County, but within the City of Naples Water and Sewer Service Areas.  The plans attached to this document have been provided to assist the contractor with the location of the sewer connections and septic tank abandonments.  The plans are schematic in nature and DO NOT depict the exact locations of the sewer connections or septic tanks, it is the Contractor’s responsibility to determine the exact locations of the sewer connections or septic tanks.

The City of Naples is seeking the services of qualified, licensed Contractors capable of providing the following services:

  1. Lateral service connections from the home to the new sewer lateral that has recently been installed at the right-of-way line in accordance with the current Plumbing Code and City utility detail.
  2. Septic tank abandonments in accordance with 64E-6.011 F.A.C.

Homeowners will be given the opportunity to have the City manage the connection and abandonment program in accordance with the FDEP 319 Grant that was awarded to the City.

This program is to be accomplished February 28, 2022.  There are approximately 335 properties within the project area and the location of the connection, the location of the septic tank to be abandoned, and the amount of restoration required varies throughout the project.  The bid schedule has been split into two non-contiguous areas: Area 4 - Gulf Acres and Area 5 - Rosemary Heights.  The City reserves the right to contract with multiple qualified, licensed Contractors to expedite the connection program.
